Wow...after a little digging I present A Snow Free Internet. I wrote this story on 12/11/2000. Thanks to the fact that UserLand has declared war on breaking links it's still up! Great work guys. I have been thinking about this piece a lot since Radio 8 came out. Some of it has been done. A lot of the personal sites that I complained about are gone...people got bored with the pretty pictures. Flash has come and almost gone since then. A lot of the problem remainds but Dave has done a lot in the last year or so to make my dream come true....thanks Dave.

A good story about the web's development. Makes me want to dig though my old Manila site to see if I can find the one I wrote.

As the Web Matures, Fun Is Hard to Find. Not long ago, the Web's whimsy made surfing its own reward. Now many who once raved say the Web has lost its luster. Is online inspiration dead? [New York Times: Technology] Wow I have a lot to say about this piece. Not sure I have the time right now. Think I'll write it up as a story in the morning after some thought.
