I've been ordered to blog since it's been over a month.
I don't really know why I haven't been blogging this year. Sometimes it just never crosses my mind as something to do, and when it does cross my mind I have nothing to say I guess.
Not a whole lot to say right now either really but I'll try to make up something.
I'm on the hunt for a new car. I think I'm going to get a Hyundai Elantra. I know it's not pretty and I know it's not "cool" or sporty or even exciting. Neither am I really so it works. I'm getting a lot of shit for buying a new car instead of a used one where I could afford a cooler looking car or whatever. I want to buy a new one because A. I'd like this to last me a while, and by a while I mean until I can easily afford a new car again. That's not gonna be for a long time so this one needs to last. B. I want the warranty that comes with a new car, not a scaled back used version. C. This could also be beneficial because it will teach me how to manage my money better. This car and the associated insurance is going to cost a nice chunk of my paycheck so I'll need to budget it all out so that I still have money left to put into an account for investing in either real-estate or stocks or some other investment vehicle. And lastly I like new things, it may be irrational but I do. I'm looking at the most reliable yet affordable cars I can and I think that shows some responsibility. I'm not throwing myself into debt to find the coolest looking car I can find. If anyone has something against all these reasons well then they can go out and buy a used car that looks cool. Oh wait, all the people who have an opinion don't have jobs and can't afford them. Wait, and on top of that their parents/grandparents/family all bought their cars for them so they've never had to go through this procedure quite like I have to. It was never their money to spend. Yes some of them have to pay it back over time but not like I'm going to have to. I know that sounds harsh but that's how I feel.
