WebCred is a really great event.

The conference just got heated. You could get the sense that disintermediation of cost structures got to the root. Sure it cost a ton but where are they are the eyeballs. Where are consumers spending their time.

MNS is using the blogs in their news room in the biggest way so far.

Remember back to Iraq 3.0. If the edge shares the cost of a foreign burro then you might get something like what happened Wikipedia.

Jimmy Wales made a good comment but I think missed the key part. He said that Wikipedia cost far less to create than the 300 million dollar budget of Britannica. However I think Wikipedia did cost far more than Britannica but the difference is that the cost was shared and is shared by the edge of the network.

Someone said it would be five years before people were blogging from their cell phone and look here. This acutal event is being blogged by someone attending the event using his moble phone.

WebCred conference at Harvard

Listening to the Blogger conference

the book?

activist e patients. discovery investigation, emersion

this guy is very interesting, new York times as gods memo on the day. lyndon or something.

I think the morning session got close but never mentioned the core of journalism and blogging is opinion formation in social influence networks.

Link as signaling. The lunch speaker is good.Judith Donath. (another pdf from Judith)We need to get Noal Fredrick in this blog conversation.

the exchange of attention in the form of a link is the core transaction.

Note to Thanks for the history of the past week. I have been trying to form a mental map and just make sense of podcasting. As such I've been consuming random podcast from my Radio aggregator and I do remember hearing your podcast from the CNN interview but did not link you or that podcast to the mobcasting until now. Thanks for helping me put an image of you together in real time.

hope your having fun at the conference and thanks for bringing me along with you.

Interesting paper social control of the newsroom 1955

better ways to get to a realistic or accurate representation of reality.

link and stink button

It would be cool to add a no link icon to the contextual task bar of SmartManila

That way you could easily create links but no follow tag so they don't get any of your google juice. What does this do to the Adam Idiom "If you don't link, you stink." [adam curry]

Now I need to add an enclosure icon also for podcast, Maybe next to the insert image task button..

More Help for Spam.

The 'nofollow' link label and UserLand, an update. Through some clever programming by Jake Savin, UserLand is closer to releasing support for the HTML anchor tag's relationship label called 'nofollow'. It's installed on a test server that has a "RCS" running and it's doing a great job of adding the link label. [house of warwick]
