So, I gave my litte speech and participated on the Western Show panel, Safe at Any Speed: New Opportunities in Broadband IP.

As usual, I was pretty nervous. But I practiced and re-practiced my presentation this morning so I actually did pretty well. I don't think it was obvious that I was nervous - at least my voice wasn't shaking like it often does in those situations.

The panel discussion was quite interesting - I did o.k. but the other folks on the panel were definitely cream of the crop: the CTO of Arris, the CEO of P-cube, a Cable Labs Director and little 'ol me. I sure wish I knew more...

The highlight of a very nifty day was my conference badge with the much coveted and admired "speaker's" ribbon attached. There are very few speakers at this prestigous conference so I'm feeling pretty cool. Of course, I'm a last minute substitute, but I still earned my little speaker's ribbon! I may wear it to bed tonight...
