So, this evening, all this bronchial coughing in combination with some beer and pizza has led to a wicked form of hiccuping for which I am well known: the bone rattling hiccup followed by the ceiling rattling belch. An amazing combination that is recognized by all who have witnessed it as a true force of nature.
Fortunately there is a cure - an old Ski Boy remedy. The hiccupper puts one finger into each ear. Another person fills up a glass with water and then helps the hiccupper, with the fingers in the ears, drink the water down. It works every time.
