Tonight's "Jean Marc Going Away" wine was a good one: a Grand Cru 1998 Chateau Troplong Mondot St. Emilion. Very good - a St. Emilion is basically a Merlot so it was a very soft wine that needed a little time to open up. There was a strong prune or fig mid-palate (almost finish) flavor. The Ski Boy scores another great wine as a result of his legendary legal work!
