The editor of choice for me to write programs with has been CodeWright for several years.  Originally it was produced by a company called Premia which got bought/merged with Starbase.  Seems like I'll now be associating with Borland if this is true.  I don't participate in Editor wars, every person has their preference.  I have just found CodeWright to be an excellent tool and have stuck with it for quite awhile.

Borland to acquire Starbase. Purchase price set at $24 million in cash [InfoWorld: Top News]
