Radio 8: Multi-Author Weblog Tool [Scripting News]

Now I just gotta figure out how to get my digital pictures onto my blog from there without carrying around a laptop. Any ideas? [Justin Rudd's Radio Weblog]

Radio has a "post by e-mail" feature. If you can find occasional access to a computer (cyber cafe, for example), you can post them to weblog entries just by mailing them in. Of course, if they're large, we're all gonna be angry when you clog up our News Aggregators. :) An alternative would be to use an automatic photo system (like we do). We can just drop full size photos into folders on our FTP site, and they magically show up in the photo system. It even automatically generates the thumbnail if it doesn't exist (thanks to a heavily modified version of The ADO Guy's example).

There's still cause for hope. Microsoft can still become the statesman of our industry, the evangelist of developers, the enabler of markets. They can have the lion's share of the growth, they just have to give up on the concept of control. It's just an illusion anyway, they don't actually have any control, and as soon as their strategy reflects this, we can all get productive at building the next layer of the Internet, including Microsoft. BP has exceeded its emissions reduction target eight years ahead of schedule, and at no net cost. That undermines Bush's claim that the Kyoto Protocol would be too expensive. http://www.tompaine.com/feature.cfm/ID/5334
