Speaking of email, an interesting article:
It makes so much sense.... Spamradio, a text to speech engine reading spam emails over techno tracks. Hi-Fi stream here. [Discovered by Doc]
From [Adam Curry: Adam Curry's Weblog]
I think this might be worth trying out this evening... I wonder if they offer their 'programming' in Widows Media Format?

Just received an email from audible.com, advertising something called Otis, a mobile audio player. Well, I have a superb iPod, so I don't need anything like that (especially not if it's called Otis), but nevertheless the blub was intriguing:
64 MB of memory; plays up to 17 hours of Audible content formats 2 and 3 plus Widows Media...
Hmm- Widows Media. What could this be, I wonder? A few good funeral dirges? Or perhaps it's just 'Four Weddings'.
It just goes to show that you don't have to be Japanese to write crazy English...

Updating my work homepage, I came up with an idea for a new section of my own homepage: an A-Z of Japan.
I'll start this evening...

Late lunch today at just about the only place open in town. It's always difficult to find anywhere to eat on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Not a bad lunch- yakisoba teishoku- but why does the potato salad in Japan so often contain fruit? Sometimes it's apple, sometimes it's raisin, sometimes it's a whole fruit salad. I'm sorry, but banana just doesn't go with mayonnaise...
