Well, the sound's back on the television, but the rain is coming down so hard it's almost impossible to hear the programme!

The weather's so bad now that the television picture is affected- and there's no sound. There'll be a power cut soon, no doubt.

Some sort of gnat about the size of a butterfly has just leisurely landed on my keyboard. How do these creatures get into the house?

It did in fact break. The rain started coming down in teaspoonful drops as I was biking home, and soon became torrential. There's also thunder and lightning, the first this year.
Japanese thunder always seems more threatening than at home- when it rumbles, even at a distance, you can feel it in the walls of the house.

Left work to an oppressive wind; one of those winds that actually makes things warmer when it blows. The weather must surely break again.

Completely forgot to post anything on the 14th! I wonder why?
Perhaps it's Mad Cow Disease- sometimes, I really think it might be... That'll teach me to go for yakiniku so much.
On a more serious note, it's interesting that the whole BSE thing has dropped out of the news completely here. I'm sure it didn't fade away from public consciousness so quickly back in Britain... Conspiracy theorists might detect some sort of cover-up; me, I have enough on my plate wondering what happened to two days ago.
