Went to see a British film called 'Blow Dry' at the Salon Cinema in Takanobashi, in Hiroshima. Well, to start with, the seats were in a league of their own (they really should include seat comfort ratings when publishing cinema-specific film reviews), but, quite apart from this, the film was excellent. It seems that recently there have been a lot of these gritty, bitter-sweet British films- 'The Full Monty', 'Billy Elliot' and 'Purely Belter' spring to mind- and they've all been most enjoyable.
