Still nobody wearing short sleeved shirts in the office- but everybody is complaining today about how mushi-atsui- humid- it is. They're all sitting around fanning themselves- so why has nobody made the mental leap and realised that wearing short sleeves would be a Good Idea?
One interesting thing is that many Japanese people seem to say 'atsui!'- 'it's hot!'- as if by doing so they can somehow make themselves cooler. Needless to say, it doesn't work. One more interesting thing, though, is that I do exactly the same thing these days...
