You know you've been in Japan too long when:

1. You know the web addresses for the local newspapers off by heart;
2. You pronounce 'Yahoo' (the web portal) as 'yafu', in the Japanese way.

I wonder if I should start worrying...     

Took the first steps towards setting up a link with some schools in Britain this morning.
I think it would be good for the schoolchildren- and, later, the adults- on this island to be able to communicate with people in a similar sort of town abroad, so I've sent a few letters to the schools in what I think would be the ideal town. Now I just have to keep my fingers crossed and wait for the replies...     

At last! A May morning worthy of the name. A freshness in the air, and the promise of a bright and warm day to come. If only Japan were like this all year round...
