The Pelican Brief I noticed this DVD for 1500 yen the other week, and finally got round to buying yesterday. The reason I was interested was because of having read the book, and I have to say that while the film is fairly faithful, I did prefer the book. But this is nearly always the case, so it's not necessarily a criticism. I do wonder whether knowing the story spoiled the film, but this notwithstanding I'll happily watch the film again.
