Relaxed in the evening... by reading (well, speaking) my speech through two or three times. Actually, not. I practiced the speech two or three times, and then I relaxed by watching Moulin Rouge, one of the DVDs I bought in Hiroshima. I have to say I was a little disappointed that it doesn't appear possible to get the songs in Japanese (the dialogue might yet be possible), but I suppose you can't have everything. The film's version of 'Like a Virgin' is superb in any language...!

Wikipedia A collaborative encyclopaedia project. The idea is that anyone can contribute, or edit, pages. I haven't contributed anything yet (I think an article on Etajima might be in order...), but I'm having an interesting time skipping through articles. I especially like the random article link... perhaps that's how I came to be reading all about the Antarctic Treaty...

I could get used to these three-day weekends! It's great to get to Sunday evening and then realise that there's no work the following day. Even if this weekend hasn't particularly felt like a holiday, what with the children's event and the barbecue, and then the speech looming over me... Actually, I'm going to get a little more used to these long weekends next weekend too, because I'm off work on Friday... ;-)
