What I did today
Today, I...
- Went to work;
- Wrote my newsletter article for February;
- Had a rather interesting oden tamago pan for lunch;
- Completely rewrote the coding to call the navigation links and blogroll on the right-hand side of the Breakfast Show site;
- Went to taiko for the first time this year, and enjoyed it.

Japan A-Z
Geishun
Geishun means 'welcoming spring', and is a very common greeting on nengajo. The use of spring in New Year's greetings is a remnant of the old lunar calendar, under which the new year begins at the end of January or the beginning of February, with 'spring' lasting roughly until April. Therefore by the lunar calendar, New Year falls at the beginning of spring, hence the greetings.
