What I did today

Today, I...

  • Continued with the preparation for the Ogiri event;
  • Discovered Palm Reader (a e-book reader for the Palm, hence the name, and downloaded 'Darwin's Radio' and 'Darwin's Children' by Greg Bear;
  • Had a superb tiramisu-pan from the mobile bread shop (today's shop did actually turn up);
  • Got indundated with the water from a tub of wet wipes (not content with her peformance yesterday, one of the ladies in the office brought yet another tub today, which she proceeded to distribute liberally, so liberally that she managed to spray water all over my Mac);
  • Went to taiko practice at the group's practice hall.

Japan A-Z

Shiwasu

'Shiwasu' is the old name for December (now known as 'ju-ni-gatsu'- 'the twelfth month'). It means literally 'the month of running priests'; everyone, even the most important priests, are busy with preparations for the New Year.
