Immanuel Kant. "Have patience awhile; slanders are not long-lived. Truth is the child of time; erelong she shall appear to vindicate thee." [Motivational Quotes of the Day]
This does not seem right to me; would it not be the other way around? I mean, Truth would be the forebear of time, as Truth is unchanging and prior to time, which is change. Slanders are not long lived, and die; truth is eternal and reveals herself in time. Or something like that.

Some people think that Kant is responsible for the muddle-headed thinking of modernity.
