At poetry centers around America, disintegrating tapes are being transferred to digital format in an effort to preserve recordings of many of the greatest 20th-century poets. By Stephen Kinzer. [By way of New York Times: Books] Imagine, 84 years from now, being able to hear the voices of poets long gone by, simply by getting on the Internet, in whatever form it has taken by then. Wouldn’t that be cool? Huh?
