The From Hell DVD seems to have combined Alan Moore’s From Hell characters (well, portrayals of historical personages) Abberline, Lees, and an opium addict. Fortunately, it was not as graphically violent as the graphic novel. Unfortunately, it was very graphically violent for all that.

What was I saying? I suppose that one of the advantages of a monarchy is that you can have Occasions and have your poet laureate write occasional poetry for them. Another is you can call together a bunch of your favorite musicians and have them play for you.

As I was reminiscing about the MacRib, fellow aficionado Jon mentioned that he had found an excellent substitute: Subway’s double-meat pork rib on a garlic bread half-sandwich. I flubbed the order yesterday, but today he got a whole and we split it. It was excellent.

I had picked up a beef ramen at Solace before I saw the sign for cold soba, that is zaru soba. I guess the old man only puts it out during the summers. Next week I’ll go Tuesday and Thursday. Lots of gorgeous women out today, aiming to gawk at the flag ceremony at Ground Zero, I guess.

Joe mentioned the difference in spirit between Florida and New York, and mentioned the sadness, motioning towards where the towers would have been. I could only nod.

Apparently we landed a large contract somewhere with a high retention rate; the partners are in high spirits and did not care as I slipped out early. Of course that could have something to do with my having worked late the last two days.
