corniceHD.jpgCNET on Cornice's new low cost 1.5GB hard drive, which is just 1-inch in diameter. We first reported on this a couple of months ago, when it turned up in Samsung's "tapeless" DV-4200 digital camcorder, and now it looks like this hard drive is going to start showing up in MP3 players from RCA, Rio, and others.

yp-900Gt.jpgLooks like Samsung's long-overdue hard drive MP3 player, the YP-900GT, has been delayed even further and won't be out now until September. The YP-900GT, which has a 10GB hard drive, a built-in FM tuner, and an FM transmitter for listening to it on a nearby radio, would have been a great competitor to the iPod had it come out a few months ago, but September will be long past the point where anyone could be bothered to care.
