Ann Patchett Wins PEN/Faulkner for 'Bel Canto'

  WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Ann Patchett's tale of a terrorist siege at a lavish South American party and the unusual relationships that emerge won the 2002 PEN/Faulkner Award, the richest annual U.S. literary prize, the writers' organization announced on Monday.
