Smith Loses to Sununu in New Hampshire Senate Race. Senator Robert Smith of New Hampshire lost the Republican nomination to Representative John Sununu today. By The Associated Press. [New York Times: NYT HomePage]
So, as a former NH native, born, raised and educated there, I believe I have a strong statement to make. Sununu won? :-( Considering he was running against Bob Smith who's toupe or combover is long since gone, it wasn't such a glorious victory.
Elizabeth Dole though!! Yahoooooo! She's my kinda lady. Tough as nails and knows when to use them. Kick some butt, Libby.

HP integration causing confusion in Latin America. Users want more details on the new HP [InfoWorld: Top News]
It's tough to say where the problem is in this. The Latin American region is an important business but something seems to be missing. Is it a disconnect between HQ and the LAR HQ? Is it just one of the pains of the massive HP/CPQ integration?
HP has traditionally let the regions dictate marketing/sales/support. Were support problems like this common in the past and are now just getting press play to do damage to HP?
As an HP employee who is intimately involved in supporting our customers, I'd love to see this get fixed. Damaged relationships can be very hard to manage and will make repeat sales more difficult.

New HP catalog targets direct sales. The computer giant plans to announce Thursday a new effort aimed at boosting its direct sales of hardware, software, storage and services to small and mid-size businesses. [CNET News.com]
I applaud this effort. It's about time we get a little more aggressive about sales to the SMB market. I get a Dell catalog pitching their offerings at least once a month. If we're gonna play with the big boys, we're gonna have to knock some heads.
