Joseph Rickaby. "A great preservative against angry and mutinous thoughts, and all impatience and quarreling, is to have some great business and interest in your mind, which, like a sponge shall suck up your attention and keep you from brooding over what displeases you." [Motivational Quotes of the Day]
Mutinous thoughts? Anger? I'm having one of those weeks where I am fomenting deep, dark, and yucky thoughts. It's like a broken record. Over and over and over.
The only way that I've found to get out of it is to get distracted by something else and move on. And, of course, getting a bit more sleep too.

HP Results Seen Showing Merger Progress: "When Hewlett-Packard Co. reports quarterly results on Wednesday investors will be looking for its personal computer and enterprise businesses to post narrower losses as it brings operations together with Compaq Computer, cutting costs in the process, analysts said."
Notice that it said 'narrower losses' and not making profit.
Overall, a profit only because the printing group made a boat load of money. Disclaimer: I'm basing this on the article and not on any inside knowledge. I'm so far down the chain and so far out of that loop that I would never know about quarterly earnings until the day after they're announced.
