Wouldn't that be something?. New York Times: Hewlett-Packard Beats Wall St. Expectations.
First Salon, now HP! It's really early to judge, but so far HP actually seems to be benefiting from its merger with Compaq. This could all be smoke and mirrors, though these days it's much harder to get away with accounting shenanigans. Carly Fiorina has two strikes against her. Whatever happens, the great old HP tradition is dead and buried. But it's still conceivable Fiorina will hit one out of the park as a business leader, and be remembered as a Lew Gerstner rather than a Joe Nacchio. [Werblog]
Dunno if you can compare Carly to Lew Gerstner. Ever.
General consensus is good. Both internally and externally. And that my dear is far different than how it's been in the past.
