As with any list of 'hot' technologies that you must know, this one will only be current for 15 minutes.
There are more transcendent skills to keep current on even if you're just going to be a developer forever. Things like integrity... That not only means integrity with others but integrity with yourself. Am I showing integrity with myself if I say I'll get something done by a certain date just to please someone? I would have to say no. It's a hard lesson to learn
The whole range of people skills are important not just to keep your job but to ultimately be successful in life. Listening. Empathy. Not always being in a crappy mood.
Beyond the people skills... naw... having those will help to cover over a multitude of technical sins. Not that being a complete technical incompetent will be ignored.
