I've had my new pump for 2+ days now. I have to say I like it so far. The main changes are:
- Reservoir only holds max 180 units instead of 300 units like the 508.
- It is now water proof up to 8 foot of water for 24 hours.
- It now takes a AAA battery instead of three watch type batteries.
- Screen is easier to read and can contain more information.
Other observations: This time the isn't a belt clip on the pump itself. It comes with two belt clips. One leather clip that is similar to the leather one that came with the 508 but now has the belt clip attached to it. The second clip is made of plastic and is like a holster for the pump. One good design feature of this clip is that it has a swivel. Normally I just twisted the 508 a bit while it was still attached to my belt until I could read the screen, now, I can just turn the pump on the swivel until it is parallel to my belt. The AAA battery is much easier to replace than the old batteries. I think that the one design flaw they have is in the reservoirs. The way that they are designed it is hard to see any air bubbles at the top. I'll have more observations as I have it longer.
