Yahoo today is unveiling a redesigned home page that shifts the Web portal's look away from its text-heavy roots to a more stylized, graphics-rich presentation.
The new, less cluttered design, set to formally launch in early July, will let Yahoo better promote its for-fee services and give advertisements more visibility.
Even the Yahoo logo is tweaked to appear less cartoon-like and ``more professional,'' in Yahoo's words.
The only remarkable element here is how these "decisions" are treated as if they had anything to do with rationality.
