before i get back to the rich story...i had a gross lab exam today. of course i didn't study enough like last time and am looking at another not so good grade. i thought i did fine until i looked at the answer key and saw i got things wrong i thought i had right. again i hope i can at least pass like last time but now i'm not sure.

anyway nothing i can do about this test so i'll have to do better next time. back to the rich story...

friday we checked out of the hotel and went to the plaza in downtown kc. we went to the gap and rich bought me stuff for my birthday and took me to the cheesecake factory. i got some candy at fao schwartz.

then we headed to my house and i think we just hung out and then went to a party that night at chris' house. it wasn't fun at first cause again it's mostly jonathan's friends and seniors and i still don't feel too comfortable around them. i just want to stand in the corner and rich wants to go mingle so i let him go without me. i hung out w/ jonathan and phil mostly i think.

we slept in on saturday and went out to bob's diner for lunch. i got fries w/ gravy. yummy!! we did a few more things i think and then got home cause the kstate/texas game would be starting and there wouldn't be much parking at my house. then we watched the game and i cleaned my room

that night we just rented that j.lo movie 'enough' and watched it and then went to bed.

sunday we went back to bob's for breakfast, hung out at my house for a bit and then i took rich back to the kc airport.

that whole day we talked about what would happen in the future and by the end of the day i had decided to break up. then eveything was all sad and i had to drive home alone.

rich called when he got back to boston and asked if we could still date until i come home for xmas and see how things are but i said i don't know. i still haven't really said either way but now he's calling me more than ever and trying way harder to be attentive. that was one of my complaints, that he didn't seem to care much what was going on with me, so now he's trying to do better. really though i don't think it's gonna work.

my birthday was on monday but kinda depressing cause no one really knew about it. my mom did call and we talked for awhile. randy and rich called too. i called rob reed to ask a question but he didn't even say happy birthday to me. my dad didn't call until yesterday but he did send me a card on monday.

the vet school intranet lists everyone's birthdays so sometimes labmates will get that person a card and send it throughout the class so everyone signs it and then puts balloons and stuff at their desk. that didn't happen for me. no one even knew it was my birthday. jonathan didn't remember until he heard my mom's phone message saying happy birthday. he offered to take me for a drink but i had to study for my test today so he stayed up with me helping me study.

i didn't go to class yesterday or today so i could get more done studying for this exam. it definitely helped. i would have definitely failed if i didn't; now only maybe i failed.

i'm going to ask jonathan if he wants to see 'the ring' tonite. i don't know when he'll be home but i want to do something fun.

hi billy, i love you!

QUOTES

It's better to burp and bear the shame than not to burp and bear the pain.

Grandpa Martin, RIP

Keep your wits about you.

Dr. Wally Cash, DVM

If the present sucks, then look to the future.

RobReed, BadBoy

Well, I want to try everything in life.

Heather Rose Martin, CFG (crazy freak girl)

In the book of life there's only two women, big ol' good ones and good ol' big ones.

Ice Cube, HipHopper

I'd rather have a terrorist standing next to me than a Frenchman. (~15 min. later) Oh, I forgot about that, that's another reason I don't like the French, they eat horses.

Dr. Dee Griffin, DVM

Think about it. Sometimes people are just destined, destined to do, what they do. And that's what it is. Now everybody dance.

Justin Timberlake, Hottie!

Even in medicine, though it is easy to know what honey, wine and hellebore, cautery and surgery are, to know how and to whom and when to apply them so as to effect a cure is no less an undertaking than to be a [veterinarian].

Aristotle, 384-322 BC

Going to Kansas for Vet School is like going to the Special Olympics to play chess.

RobReed, BoyGenius

Now you can either stand around here eatin' jambalaya or you can come upstairs and eat my ass!

Brian Kinney, QAF Hottie!
