i just finished watching 'a beautiful mind' and now i'm watching 'hannibal' cause i want to see ray liota get his brain eaten.
it's so close to halloween there should be lots of scary movies to watch on tv but i just don't seem to find any.
i have a really weird story to tell about my latest physiology professor dr. schultz. he was asking about me after class the other day cause he knows my hometown of liverpool. so yesterday i went to talk to him after class. he said his wife is from ithaca so he's around that area sometimes and knows liverpool. he said he was looking for me in class but he didn't realize my hair was so dark; he thought it was blonde. then he said i had an interesting accent. i told him i didn't think i had a distinct accent; maybe it was the combination of living in upstate ny and then boston for 6 years. once i said boston he said it all made since now. i had some of a boston accent. he then said his wife was a speech pathologist and when he heard my accent, i'm assuming this was on the first day of school when we had to introduce ourselves in the auditorium, he thought i might have minor hearing loss. now i know i don't have the most appealing voice but do i sound deaf? if i wasn't self-conscious already. he said it so nonchalantly and i was so insulted i couldn't say a thing. whatever.
my friend mariana and some other team envision teammates are running the dc marathon in march to qualify for boston. i'm considering doing it too. it would be so awesome to run w/ friends again and it'd be easier i think to qualify knowing we're all doing it together. i have lots of time on the weekends so i could do the 20 milers. it's mainly the expense but i really want to keep up my training and i don't really want to take so long off from marathon running. it just seems like a great opportunity so i might do it. anyone else interested?
my aunt winnie, my mom's sister, just ran chicago in 4:30 which is so awesome! jen rhines ran it too. it was her first marathon; she was in the top 25 women. i forget exactly where. her husband did it too but didn't finish. he's already qualified for olympic trials and i'm sure jen just did too.
finally the space heaters are doing there job. i guess i'll bring one into my room tonite and i'm bringing boston too. jonathan took napa and he left boston for me. he won't get under the covers like billy does which is way warmer but he's still some warmth.
goodnight everybody
