good afternoon. normally i would be in gross lab right now but luckily it was a short one so we could leave and study for phys. everyone is really freaked out about it cause it's so much material and worth 230 points i think. it's about 25% of our grade. everyone i've talked to is expecting to do badly and thinks the class average will be really low. i thought it was just me not having enough time for everything but it's really most of us. we've had other tests that spanned lots of time and material but they're usually only worth 100 points no matter what so it's not as critical.
tomorrow is the student rep/course coordinator meeting so i have to bring up these points since i'm one of the reps.
the guy is here now fixing our heat so maybe i won't be cold 24 hours a day. i'll still be cold at school and getting to school but hopefully not in my house.
it snowed today and some people were very excited cause they're from areas that don't usually get snow. for me this is the closest thing i've gotten to florida. before i said that about boston but now i've gotten a little bit closer. i'll have to get my bike prepared and put my mountain bike tires back on and maybe while i'm at it switch back to my normal pedals since i never use the clipless anyway. it's just not practical here.
guess what's on tnn all day today? back to back friday the 13th movies. they're only on part 2 right now. can't let it distract me though. i have review at 5p.
dr. weiss dressed up as a harry potter character i think but i don't know which one. it was funny though.
wish me luck tomorrow 9a central time.

It's better to burp and bear the shame than not to burp and bear the pain.
Grandpa Martin, RIP
Keep your wits about you.
Dr. Wally Cash, DVM
If the present sucks, then look to the future.
RobReed, BadBoy
Well, I want to try everything in life.
Heather Rose Martin, CFG (crazy freak girl)
In the book of life there's only two women, big ol' good ones and good ol' big ones.
Ice Cube, HipHopper
I'd rather have a terrorist standing next to me than a Frenchman. (~15 min. later) Oh, I forgot about that, that's another reason I don't like the French, they eat horses.
Dr. Dee Griffin, DVM
Think about it. Sometimes people are just destined, destined to do, what they do. And that's what it is. Now everybody dance.
Justin Timberlake, Hottie!
Even in medicine, though it is easy to know what honey, wine and hellebore, cautery and surgery are, to know how and to whom and when to apply them so as to effect a cure is no less an undertaking than to be a [veterinarian].
Aristotle, 384-322 BC
Going to Kansas for Vet School is like going to the Special Olympics to play chess.
RobReed, BoyGenius
Now you can either stand around here eatin' jambalaya or you can come upstairs and eat my ass!
Brian Kinney, QAF Hottie!

Hi, my name is Heather. I'm a 2nd year vet student.
Email me.
I love giraffes! I wish I had a pet giraffe and I would name it Mr. Giraffe. One time I had a pet elephant and his name was Loyal. I sent him a letter in The Jungle when I was in undergrad but I don't think it made it there. Loyal was cool!
There's nothing better than playing with doggie and kittie poop in Parasitology, except maybe looking at all the dead stuff in necropsy. |
