i got this from a kstate cyclist. pro cyclist Kivilev dies in a crash without his helmet during Paris-Nice. not too smart! i have to admit i don't wear my helmet anymore since moving to manhattan. i would if i went on a long ride but to school and around town i don't; i'm being stupid too.

i got made fun of today by this pretty nice and smart guy in my class, jeff. during phys break we were downstairs gettin' snacks and i couldn't open my soda bottle. i swear it was defective. i asked calista to open it and she couldn't (she used to pole vault) so i'm really thinkin' it's broken. so we had to ask jeff to open it and he basically laughed at me and opened it in two seconds and made a crack like 'and you were gonna ride the bike for us.' remember, when i was going to do the vo2 max test in physiology lab. i told him i didn't need to use my arms. whatever. my arms are pretty strong anyway, comparatively. maybe i should work on my wrists.

hey nathan and randy did you guys go see the sheila divine when they were just in boston? if not i'll be pissed! you don't realize how good you have it. i forgot to tell you that last thursday i went to see ultimate fakebook. that's the band aaron (lead singer of the sheila divine) told me to hook up w/ in manhattan. they were fine but nothing like the sheilas. aaron's voice is just too amazing. nathan i'm listening to the beth orton cd you got me. very good.

i finally made an appearance at the cycling club meeting tonite. it was at 9:30p so i took a break from studying and ran there. only took 13 minutes. everyone seemed really nice and hopefully after the marathon i'll start training with them. one boy is partial to lemond's so when i said i had one everyone said he liked me already. and one boy is really cute! i'm probably a grandma compared to them.

a cool thing about being home alone: dancing and walking around naked. i can't scare anyone except the dogs but i probably scare them with my clothes on too. also my homeade smoothies i have to say are pretty awesome! i just had one which wasn't one of my best but still good. i'm running out of ingredients so this was chocolate soy milk, frozen raspberries, nonfat vanilla yogurt and ice. i usually add a frozen banana and orange juice or frozen strawberries but i'm low on fruit.

i also forgot to say that su is the #1 seed for the big east tournament which starts tomorrow but they don't have to play until thursday. march is my favorite month cause it's 'MARCH MADNESS' and i love it all!!! last year robreed, jenn and i did our brackets and the bet was whoever won got 50 free dog take-outs which meant everytime billy had to go out you didn't have to take him for 50 times. the usual scenario was the three of us would 'shoot' for it and the loser had to take him. while i ended up winning the bracket and since i didn't live w/ them it took a very long time for me to go through my 50 free ones. good ole' times!

i'm going to try and study but it's 12:30a and i'm getting tired. lots to study though by friday for two exams. then spring break...

QUOTES

It's better to burp and bear the shame than not to burp and bear the pain.

Grandpa Martin, RIP

Keep your wits about you.

Dr. Wally Cash, DVM

If the present sucks, then look to the future.

RobReed, BadBoy

Well, I want to try everything in life.

Heather Rose Martin, CFG (crazy freak girl)

In the book of life there's only two women, big ol' good ones and good ol' big ones.

Ice Cube, HipHopper

I'd rather have a terrorist standing next to me than a Frenchman. (~15 min. later) Oh, I forgot about that, that's another reason I don't like the French, they eat horses.

Dr. Dee Griffin, DVM

Think about it. Sometimes people are just destined, destined to do, what they do. And that's what it is. Now everybody dance.

Justin Timberlake, Hottie!

Even in medicine, though it is easy to know what honey, wine and hellebore, cautery and surgery are, to know how and to whom and when to apply them so as to effect a cure is no less an undertaking than to be a [veterinarian].

Aristotle, 384-322 BC

Going to Kansas for Vet School is like going to the Special Olympics to play chess.

RobReed, BoyGenius

Now you can either stand around here eatin' jambalaya or you can come upstairs and eat my ass!

Brian Kinney, QAF Hottie!
