so i'm running the dc marathon on sunday. am i ready? not quite but i hope to have fun anyway. i'm meeting my boston tri team friends there to run together. i had 2 exams today that sucked! the last three nights i had stayed up until about 4am studying and now i'm running on fumes but i just want to relax and do stuff instead of sleeping. i'm on spring break now!! my bib # for the marathon is #1821. on sunday 3/23 7:30am EST i will be starting so i think if you go to the marathon site you can look up my number while i'm racing and see my splits. i have a few goals in mind. ultimately i want to qualify for boston. boston is the most prestigious cause it's the only marathon you have to qualify for with a certain time in another marathon. but based on my training i think that goal this time is a little unrealistic. next goal, i'd like to just break 4 hrs but i'd still be happy w/ something 4+hrs but under 5 hrs. tomorrow i'm racing a 10K st pat's race here in manhattan. it'll be my first race since moving here and bad timing w/ the marathon a week away but i just can't pass up such a convenient opportunity especially since there's lots of awards being given and a chance to size up my age group competition. i'm watching 'mulholland drive' so i'll check in tomorrow after my race.

	Hi, my name is Heather. I'm a 2nd year vet student. Email me. I love giraffes! I wish I had a pet giraffe and I would name it Mr. Giraffe. One time I had a pet elephant and his name was Loyal. I sent him a letter in The Jungle when I was in undergrad but I don't think it made it there. Loyal was cool! There's nothing better than playing with doggie and kittie poop in Parasitology, except maybe looking at all the dead stuff in necropsy.
