i finally got ahold of united airlines to cancel my flight which leaves in 9 hours. i had to cancel it before its scheduled departure time to get a refund. so now i have a confirmation # that i can use and get a $194.50 credit (the price of my current flight) to use to go anywhere. if it's more i have to pay the difference and i have to make the reservation by april 19th and fly before december 31st. so i'll probably just use the credit to fly home for the summer assuming united flys where i'm going, etc. not so bad. so technically i don't lose any money cause my marathon entrance fee is being used for next year since they automatically entered me in for next year.

i just placed my first bet of 'march madness.' i took notre dame over wisconsin milwaukee -5 points. it's so hard to decide. last year i went about 5 out of 6 bets which i think is pretty good. so notre dame better win by 6 ponts please! now that i'm not going to dc i can stay home and watch all the games.

there's actually a marathon in kansas not this saturday but the next. should i do that one instead?? problem is it's open house at kstate and it's this big deal for the vet school where the public comes and sees what we're all about. i've signed up to work; we're all expected to i think. i'd have to get out of that.

	Hi, my name is Heather. I'm a 2nd year vet student. Email me. I love giraffes! I wish I had a pet giraffe and I would name it Mr. Giraffe. One time I had a pet elephant and his name was Loyal. I sent him a letter in The Jungle when I was in undergrad but I don't think it made it there. Loyal was cool! There's nothing better than playing with doggie and kittie poop in Parasitology, except maybe looking at all the dead stuff in necropsy.
