hello everybody!! i made it to cornell. it's gonna suck goin' back to kansas. i'm living in this huge frat house w/ a nice sized room (bigger than the one i'll be living in in kansas) plus ithaca is just a nice place to be.
my mom woke me this morning to get ready to go. showered and packed then visited grandma at walmart before heading to ithaca. i thought it was about 40 min from syracuse but it's more like an hour or so, 50 miles. moved my stuff into my room when we got here and then went to workout at the facilities on campus. it wasn't as nice as kstate. not as much equipment and too crowded. better than nothing though. i'm going to try and workout everyday that i'm here even if it's only a 30 min run. so far i've gone 3 days in a row. there's a girl here rosie from liverpool, england that was working out too and later tonite she told me she has done tris and marathons. she had to go to the grocery so we haven't talked in detail yet. it's kinda funny cause my middle name is rose, i'm from liverpool, ny and i've done tris and marathons. haha!!
then mom and i went into 'town' to get a few things at wegmans and eat at an indian restaurant. i didn't need much at the grocery because the frig, pantry and freezer was completed stocked w/ food for us. i took pictures so i'll post them soon. we actually don't have internet access until tomorrow but i can post offline. lots of yummy bad food to eat but i managed to avoid most of it and consumed a peach, 2 bananas, 2 oreos and of course diet coke.
it'll be hard at first to remember everyone's name and where they're from. there's england, scotland, canada, kansas, australia and some others.
i'm very tired actually and will go to bed soon. i need to be ready tomorrow at 8 for breakfast and many more exciting activities.
very very glad to be back in upstate new york, probably too glad. i just remember how horrible it was to go back to kansas just after christmas break. now i'll be gone all summer.
don't get me wrong, i love vet school at kstate but it's just great being back 'home.'
goodnight
