i can't believe it's been a week since my last post!

yankees just won game 2 of their playoffs against minnesota so it's all tied up. phew! now they have to win 2 more of 3 to move on. it would be great if they got to play boston again so they kick thier ass but boston lost 2 already.

so what are the highlights since last thursday? i posted my pharmacology test 1 grade which is very upsetting because everyone did really well, mostly As i'm sure though we haven't heard. i'm going to resubmit my test for a regrade because there was one problem where he took lots of points off for something i didn't get wrong just forgot to say a little thing. i also got my pathology test back. i did badly on it, a 79%, though i got most stuff right, just lots of partial credit stuff. he's pretty particular in the diagnoses he wants and it seemed more a case of not being used to the testing format and giving an answer that didn't completely fit the question. i had my parasit test yesterday and didn't do so well. i was forgetting the less important parasites and their details so i got many points off on that stuff i'm sure. bacT is monday so i really need to start studying and can't waste away the weekend like i normally do.

i've been trying to adhere to some kind of schedule since my life seems so crazy, running here and there but so far i've pretty much failed, though i will keep trying.

i went to the doctor today and he was a complete ass and i hate myself for not telling him. first he made me wait in the exam room for a horrible amount of time where i was cold and falling asleep. then he came in checked me over and thought i was fine, no shit it's been 6 weeks, good thing i'm not in so much pain anymore. he showed me where c5 had a herniation and was pushing my spinal cord off to the side in that area. he also mentioned maybe slight scoliosis which is funny cause when i was little and they used to test us one time they thought maybe i had it and then decided i had extra muscles in my back. when i told this to the doctor today he just laughed. good thing i wasn't diagnosed with scoliosis when i was little cause i would have probably killed myself. i would have been like lisa hayes who always got picked on, picked her boogers and butt and then ate it. if i have kids they are not allowed to have scoliosis. then the doctor had his hand on the door ready to leave when i was asking him my impt. questions and basically just wanted to run to the next patient. why didn't i stick up for myself? another missed opportunity! anyway, i think i can get back to working out, just not so crazy right away.

yesterday cooper and cleo managed to break the front window they always look out of. ann came home to find it broken. cooper had a little cut on him but otherwise everyone was okay. we cardboarded it up for now and are waiting for the landlord to fix it. last night at 1:30a i was going to bed and got cleo off the couch to come upstairs to bed with me and when she got upstairs and laid down she peed all over my bed. it was awful. it was kinda my fault cause i didn't let her out, though she didn't ask, but she was pretty sleepy. today i had to wash my comforter, which is down but still washable and my pillow too which i think is ruined now but i have another one.

i think i will get going and quick go to the gym before bed.

thanks belinda, all the way down under from the cornell program, for adding a comment to my site. i won't thank jonathan, my old roommate, for his comment cause it was jerky. i will be in boston the 11th-14th of october i think. all the boyz are making the trip: randy from dc, me (though not a boy) from kansas, jason from mississippi by way of hawaii and nathan who's still stuck in the lab in boston.

QUOTES

It's better to burp and bear the shame than not to burp and bear the pain.

Grandpa Martin, RIP

Keep your wits about you.

Dr. Wally Cash, DVM

If the present sucks, then look to the future.

RobReed, BadBoy

Well, I want to try everything in life.

Heather Rose Martin, CFG (crazy freak girl)

In the book of life there's only two women, big ol' good ones and good ol' big ones.

Ice Cube, HipHopper

I'd rather have a terrorist standing next to me than a Frenchman. (~15 min. later) Oh, I forgot about that, that's another reason I don't like the French, they eat horses.

Dr. Dee Griffin, DVM

Think about it. Sometimes people are just destined, destined to do, what they do. And that's what it is. Now everybody dance.

Justin Timberlake, Hottie!

Even in medicine, though it is easy to know what honey, wine and hellebore, cautery and surgery are, to know how and to whom and when to apply them so as to effect a cure is no less an undertaking than to be a [veterinarian].

Aristotle, 384-322 BC

Going to Kansas for Vet School is like going to the Special Olympics to play chess.

RobReed, BoyGenius

Now you can either stand around here eatin' jambalaya or you can come upstairs and eat my ass!

Brian Kinney, QAF Hottie!
