No PDC this year
DevX is reporting today that Microsoft will not hold a PDC this year, owing to a lack of new development technologies to showcase. As a confirmed PDCer, I'm saddened by this news, as I was especially looking forward to a PDC in New Orleans, the site of this week's Tech-Ed conference. My friends who attended the 1998 Tech-Ed in New Orleans say it was the best site they have been to. Here's hoping the 2003 PDC will be there (the 2001 one was originally slated for New Orleans, but the .NET framework was not ready and it was rescheduled for July in Orlando.)
