COM as the what?

There's certainly no one in the Microsoft space half as entertaining as Don Box. He has just started a "spoutlet", a blog-like page where he can hold forth when inspiration strikes.

In the latest offering, he refers to COM as "the Jesus Christ of extensible metadata (it did die for our sins after all)." He didn't use this line at Tech-Ed Europe, he says. There he throttled himself back to "MTS as the Rosa Parks of extensible metadata." This is true too, but not nearly as clever.
