A month ago, I pointed to Ted Neward’s "Hosting ASP.NET: Running an All-Managed HTTP Server," which previewed Microsoft's Cassini web server sample. This article said that the source was available for download, but if it was, I couldn't find it (the EXE was available, however, as part of the ASP.NET Web Matrix development tool). Finally, a couple of days ago, the Cassini source appeared for download on www.asp.net.
I just downloaded it, so I haven't had a chance to dig in yet. Brad Wilson has tried to run it on ME, without any success so far, and Justin Rudd has found some things he approves of and one he doesn't.

Brian tells us that "If you like the .NET Show, you'll love VBTV." Now that I've sampled the latter, I see that he was being sarcastic.
I can't say that I love the .NET show, but I have watched at least part of most of the episodes, and I have learned a thing or two. I'm not in the target audience for VBTV in more ways than one--not primarily a VB programmer, in the wrong generation--but I do encounter VB a lot and have found VB6 useful in a number of situations. I was hoping to learn a thing or two. But the first episode of VBTV, while fast paced and entertaining (unlike the .NET show), consisted of nothing more than goofiness and marketing fluff (I didn't make it all the way through, but I think I saw enough to get the drift).
