Speaking of data integrity Mark Pilgrim (apparently) doesn't want me to point to him, when I do, his server sends you right back.[Scripting News]
I've always wondered what the heck Dave was taking about wrt Mark's
server.. it turns out that there's no redirect when I'm using Mozilla
Firebird. I had to fire up Internet explorer to see the effect. Not
sure yet what really happens.
Upon further review: I fired
up wget with headers displayed, and with the referer set to
scripting.com the server at diveintomark.org is sending a 302 back,
which wget follows. I'd guess that IE is also following a 302. But why
not Firebird? Is there no 302, or is firebird not following it? I need
to dig up a plugin that displays headers there.
