What's in the cards for Handspring?. -Russ [Russell Beattie Notebook]
I would not be surprised that they go under, but I would certainly be sad. I use a treo as a phone / addressbook / calendar device since more than 1 year now and I'm very happy with it. It strikes the right balance for me in terms of size, functionality and autonomy. I used to crave for programmability, more memory, power and features, when I was younger, ... but I'm 34 now and I don't ask more from the device that sits in my pocket than what it gives me now.
I don't want to play games or take notes on tiny screens. I used to love the excel compatible spreadsheet in my Psion 3a 7 years ago. Now I just don't care about that kind of features in my phone.
I'll reconsider this when they'll integrate decent 10 mpix cameras, 100 Gb of storage and wifi in the same size. Until then I'll keep the Treo :-)
