JD get jiggy with Faces. - A mugshot-laden blogroll. [JD's New Media Musings][Marc's Voice]

add mugshots to your blogroll. A great idea. Should be automatable by adding a tag in your rss with a url to your picture. There should be one of the rss modules that does it already.

Searching the BlogSphere Micah Alpern has a cool use of Google Web Service APIs that lets you restrict your search Google search to your blog RSS subscription list: in parameters are:

 • search term
 • google api key
 • url of your subscription opml file

An interesting idea taking parts of Mark Pilgrim's Recommended Reading and Scott Johnson's Feedster RSS search engine.

How Google Grows.... Fast Company has a wonderfully in-depth article on the the success of Google. Bottom line:
Sidebar: How does Google keep innovating? One big factor is the company's willingness to fail. Google engineers are free to experiment with new features and new services and free to do so in public. The company frequently posts early versions of new features on the site and waits for its users to react.
These are just the themes we asked Google's Crai... [Meerkat: An Open Wire Service]

An interesting article about google's relentless focus on customer experience, performance and attention to details, and their willingness to experiment early.
