Selection of drawing machines: Eva Sutton/Sarah Hart's autonomous sumi-ebots, which communicate by infrared and collaborate on scroll paintings; Stephan Prosky's SYMET studio, an animated solar powered robot that draws a record of its group movement; Ranjit Bhatnagar's bad-tempered Sketching Device #1, which uses low-frequency vibrations to throw a pen around on paper.
