According to news.com, AMD has filed trademark papers with the US PTO for the names Metaron and Opteron, presumably for their upcoming Hammer line of 64-bit chips. They've also puts dibs on Forton, Multeon, and Vanton. I'm going to take one of the designs from opencores.org and release it as the Perspiron. 3:54:44 PM comment []    jEdit 4.0 is out. 12:49:26 PM comment []    If VB.NET didn't have the ancestry it does, I think it would be perceived as a clean, forthright, highly productive language (a plus when people are talking about Java or Python, but somehow a minus when they discuss VB) - throw in a few obfuscational regex operators and a few $ or # signs and you might have Ruby!.
