Hmmm. It would appear that, without much fanfare, JBoss 3.0 has been released. For a while I was pretty excited about JBoss. Too much exposure to the breathless rhetoric at the project's website has curtailed that excitement considerably. 3:01:29 PM  comment []

As everyone will be posting today, Mozilla 1.0 is out. While mozilla has improved tremendously since the ~0.7 stage when I first started paying attention, I still wonder if there's room for someone to write a small, fast browser (or a large, fast browser for that matter!) that implements the most common portions of the most common standards and doesn't use Gecko for rendering. The browser is essentially a tool for displaying the interface of a remote application - would starting with this as the most fundamental assumption make any difference in the design? 10:43:46 AM comment []
