Do we complain that a hammer or a screwdriver isn't interesting enough to use? No, but the jobs they're suited for aren't very interesting either.

The design of the tool should suit the scale of the task at hand. The larger the scale, the greater the opportunity for elegance and concision in how the problem is addressed.
