Office gets its XML Groove. Toolkit leverages Microsoft Web services strategy to extend Office collaboration [InfoWorld: Top News]

I can't speak for Groove, but I'm personally a bit confused as the article weaves pieces of news from two sepearate but complementary products or initiatives: the Groove Toolkit for VS.NET and the Office/Sharepoint Integration.

Designed as an add-on to Microsoft's .Net development environment, Groove Toolkit for Visual Studio .Net allows developers to rapidly build WinForms-based applications hosted in Groove's Workspace environment.

Using C# or VB .Net, the toolkit will ease the development of WinForm applications that leverage the collaborative capabilities of SharePoint Team Services and Groove Workspace, said Jack Ozzie, co-founder and vice president of development, platform, and developer services at Groove Networks.
