My vote went to Greece. They looked like the Borg and if the Borg ever recorded a song I'm sure it'd be like Greece's. Kinda remined me of a cross between Kraftwerk and Falco. Matthew voted for Finland. The most memorable thing about the Finnish song was the line 'if you were a drug I'd be adicted to you'. Yeah honey, from your picture it looks like you got some class A friends.
Emily voted for Sweden, a kind of Destiny's Child on a high carb diet.
I have to admit I was torn between my fave Greece and Sue's choice, Lithuania. The Lithuanian backing singers all wore hand-crochet tank tops. Very trendy, at least very trendy in Lithuania. Not a bad song, the version of the web site is much better than the one they performed live, but the lead singer's sartorial elegance was definitely the high point of the performance.
Although we (the UK) only came 3rd, we did beat France and that's what counts. So next year it's in Riga. What's the betting another Baltic State wins.
