Hey it is Tuesday before IBC www.ibc.org . I've been asked to speak on the lucky 13th at 10 am on the interesting stuff at Europe's largest exhibition for broadcasters. My mailbox is full of announcements. Some of them even useful.
Just back from Montreal, or Royal Mountain - if you take a wander along the magnificent park on the hill right in the heart of town you get a great view of the place. There's also a giant TV and radio mast - and I'm told a DAB transmitter of 2 kW. Shame my Perstel radio only covers the European bands. New problem for radio - DAB radios don't travel across the Atlantic.
Been visiting and talking with great guys at CBC and Radio Canada International : www.rcinet.ca . They are doing some interesting work on a tiny budget.
