Mobile tones ring in the changes.

In South Korea this is a huge success - they are really ring out tones. 14 million subscribers and you can access the web and change anything at will - and people do!  You could soon be able to decide what ringing tone the person you are calling hears on their mobile phone.

PlayStation braves Chinese waters. Sony is launching its PlayStation 2 in China next month, despite concerns about widespread piracy. They need to be worried. Playstation 2 and Xbox cracks are all over Europe. I'm sure they are all over China as well. Aren't the boxes made in China anyway?

BBC to sell off technology unit. The BBC has announced plans to sell off its technology arm, saying the move could save it up to £30m a year. Which begs the question, what about Greg Dyke's One BBC? BBC has sold off other arms of its operation (e.g. transmitters), but then has to hire in an army of technicians/engineers to check the business offers it is commissioning from outside the building.
